Bluetooth Wirless Headsets: Everyones Favorite Innovation

by Oscar S. Cartwright

Technological advancements are very rarely leaps and bounds away from the competition. Often times electronic companies will pass on a simple add on as a new feature. But one advancement that changed the way we communicate is Bluetooth wireless capability. Not only has it done that but the Bluetooth wireless headset can be beneficial for everyday use.

Bluetooth technology has been around longer than most people realize. It was created in 1998 and is the combined efforts of numerous companies such as Ericsson, Intel, IBM, Toshiba, and Nokia. These leaders in telecommunications, networking, computing, automotive, and industrial automation were on the verge of a technological breakthrough. They merged to create the private trade association called Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The SIG owns the trademark and licensing to the brands unique name and logo. The Bluetooth is named after Danish King Harald Bluetooth. During the 10 century he had a pivotal role in unifying Scandinavia during a time where it was ravished by wars. SIG felt Bluetooth was a fitting name because the technology is bridging the gap between many different industries such as the cell phone, computing, automotive, and media companies. It combines all these services into one simple radio frequency. The Bluetooth was established in Scandinavia so the SIG felt naming it after royalty would be acceptable. The logo was designed to represent the companys Scandinavian roots. It pays homage to Harald Bluetooths legacy. It was created by combining his initials into one simple symbol. In Runic alphabetic characters H looks like an asterisk. To give it a sharper look they curved the loops in the B.

Bluetooth wireless capabilities are one of the most recent additions to telecommunications. Bluetooth enables its users to wirelessly link up two devices utilizing short range radio frequencies. The frequencies allows its users a range of anywhere between 30 to up to 100 feet in most recent models. Bluetooth linkage is so simplistic with its applications that is has become the standard format for all wireless functionality in electronic devices.

Employing a Bluetooth wireless headset can greatly impact someones life for the better. One of the chief examples is talking on a cell phone while driving. Answering a cell phone while driving is extremely dangerous. You take your eyes off the road for even a quick moment and you can risk serious injury. Not only is it dangerous but using a cell phone while driving is illegal. The best way to relay important information on a phone will driving is using a Bluetooth wireless headset, this way you can answer your phone and continue to drive without any problem.

Bluetooth also comes in handy for those who use their hands to work. Whether you are building, typing, driving, or preparing food you cannot break up your work for a quick phone conversation. But utilizing a Bluetooth headset youll be able to continue your work flow without wasting any time.

The Bluetooth wireless headset has changed the face of all telecommunications technology. It is a recent invention that revolutionized many businesses for the new millennium.
